As you can see. The disc has 2 separate prints on the bottom.
I have tried using the following CD copying software to back this up
with no luck:
Nero Burning Rom 5.5.9.9, CDRwin 3.9a, Disc Juggler v.4.01, CloneCD
4.0.0.1, BlindWrite Suite 4.0.3.01
IsoBuster 1.0
I first tried CDRwin. I have already backed up around 75 CD-i CDs using
the simple "Extract disc" option and burned from a bin/cue.
When trying this game in CDRwin
Track (1) shows up as unidentified and
when I click on START I get this error:
I then tried it in Nero Burning rom and got a similar error:
Then DiscJuggler v.4.01 and end up with ILLEGAL MODE FOR THIS TRACK
OR INVALID PACKET SIZE error:
2nd try:
When I check [x] SCAN GAPS/INDEXES.
It doesn't give me that Illegal mode error, but when I burned and tried it on the CD-i I still get the ERROR message so I'm not sure what good that does. As a side note, I also tried checking off RAW read. so make that 2 wasted copies with DJ (so far) Any ideas what else I could change? It seemed the most promising out of everything so far. It even showed the first track as:
|
Next I gave CloneCD 4.0.0.1 a try. It did a good job of showing me my
LiteOn 32x CDR capabilities, but not much else:
It copies every track as an AUDIO track, which of course won't boot
in a CD-i as anything other than an AUDIO CD:
I tried burning a few this way with Data CD, Game CD & Multimedia CD and all I get is a music disc that starts at track 2.
I then tried BlindWrite Suite, which I hear will copy most everything the others can't.
What I got with this was a CD that didn't play at all (ERROR on the CD-i LCD)

My last attempt was to use ISOBuster
to try and extract everything to my HD then sort it out later.
at first it wouldn't even show
anything, then after refreshing it a couple times I got this error:
Then it showed the files:
I'm not positive what the +
means, but it can't be good.
I was able to look at the properties of the data track:
and
I was able to extract everything. I extracted the wavs (they all play
fine) and I extracted the data track as a RAW data
and I used a program called CDRCue Cuesheet Editor to make a cue sheet
out of my data+wavs and it showed up as a CD+G file:
FILE "C:\Track 00.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 CDG
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "C:\Track 01.wav" WAVE
TRACK 02 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TITLE "Track 01" etc..etc..
I manually changed it to:
FILE "Track 00.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00 (since all the other CD-i games
are mode2/2352 format)
and I still got the same problem in my CD-i (ERROR)
After weeks of working on this I finally had enough information on how to rip this...
