Everything, with exception to the box and Styrofoam
was in rough shape.. Here's what it looked like.
.
The Gyros were separated into 3 pieces and everything
was covered with a large amount "gunk."
The NES unit didn't work, the A/C Adapter was held
together with black tape. Both controllers were worn out.
.
I fixed the gyros by removing the old glue with
rubbing alcohol and Goo Gone. It seems someone made a failed attempt to
fix them.
After cleaning them properly I glued all 3 pieces together with
rubber cement compound. I tested them and they spin flawlessly.
I took
apart the NES system and cleaned the pins on the connector. Took apart
the Light Gun and cleaned out all components. I checked the wiring and
glued the AC adapter together.
The controllers were trashed. Lastly, I
put some wood glue in between the worn box edges so they are nice and crisp
again.
Here's what I added to make
this set complete:
NES Deluxe system manual & various flyers,
R.O.B. eye lens cover, 2 brand new NES controllers,
replaced the NES expansion port cover, large NES
poster, Nintendo RF module,
Gyromite and Duck Hunt manuals and boxes, 2 gyro
disclaimer cards, various baggies and twist ties,
After all the cleaning, fixing and replacing I am
happy with the results. :)
